I recently delivered the cover for the comic shop version of Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files: Storm Front (volume 1) [whew that was a mouthful] to DelRey, and I think it turned out rather nicely.

I created the background from scratch, and used the artwork from issue number one, of the main character of Harry Dresden as the focus. I carried a color block from the front to  the back (using the color on the spine to highlight Mr. Butcher’s name). And left the back simple, with just the trademark phrase from the opening chapter of the book. (DelRey will be adding in the UPC and their own logo treatment at the bottom left of the back.)

Look for this book to be in stores this Summer.
