Well you can see that we have not stopped tinkering, and I’m glad to say that I think we have found a format that suits us best. Something that allows us to keep current with what we are doing, and to also share some personal posts and information about what we are up to. Let us know what you think.

Simon and I will both be updating our portfolios in the lettering section i nthe coming week or so, and the logo and design sections will be up by weeks end.

We have been BUSY guys! Lots of new work that we cannot discuss just yet, a few cool new projects and Simon has been busy working on a few new Number One issues for Dynamite that are showing off some of his best work. I’m currently pulling together the back to Brooklyn trade for Image and Jimmy Palmiotti, what a great book – be sure to grab this trade.

I’m pretty sure that both Simon and myself will be making an appearance at the Philly Wizard World Convention this year. Not sure of the details, but I am sure that if this comes true, stock up the pubs — it’s going to be a bumpy ride!

Some Eagle Eyed folks saw in my Twitter feed that I’ve started tinkering with a new writing project – this is true. Something fresh to wrap my creative side around — but this does not kill MARSHAL, there is movement on the MARSHAL project. And hoepfully I’ll have some news to share there soon as well.

Look for more updates and some sneak peeks from coming projects later this week.

I’ve just learned that the graphic novel I worked on for Jim Butcher, “The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle” has been nominated for a Hugo Award. This is great news, as this is a wonderful book.

I had the pleasure of designing this book from front to back and really thought the end result was a beautiful. One of the finest trades I have worked on. The story by Jim Butcher and the art by Ardian syaf is brilliantly matched and both fun and riviting at the same time.

This book is on sale now at all major booksellers and online at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble. Pick one up, it will not dissapoint!

In January I worked on an Omnibus (a super graphic novel that combines many other graphic novels into one mega-edition) based on The Transformers: Beast Wars, published by IDW Publishing in San Diego. This was a really interesting project, since it had not only a traditional comic element, but also a rather large encyclopedia section as well.

The overall project looks brilliant and has just been added to the New York Times Best Sellers Soft Cover list. This is the first book for IDW to reach that list, and is the second book that I have worked on in the last three months to make the list.

Congratulations to to Justin Eisinger and the gang at IDW!

Transformers: Beast Wars Omnibus is available at Amazon.com and other booksellers.

I recently delivered the cover for the comic shop version of Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files: Storm Front (volume 1) [whew that was a mouthful] to DelRey, and I think it turned out rather nicely.

I created the background from scratch, and used the artwork from issue number one, of the main character of Harry Dresden as the focus. I carried a color block from the front to the back (using the color on the spine to highlight Mr. Butcher’s name). And left the back simple, with just the trademark phrase from the opening chapter of the book. (DelRey will be adding in the UPC and their own logo treatment at the bottom left of the back.)

Look for this book to be in stores this Summer.

Jimmy asked me to come up with something with the main character and a black background. And as usual with Jimmy, we riffed back and frth and this is the result.

Keep an eye out for this in bookstores this April.

A few months back Jimmy Palmiotti asked me to create a logo for his upcoming series with Image comics, Back to Brooklyn. The series, co-written with Garth Enis, is in stores now, with Issue 3 on shelves, is being collected as a trade in April.

This week Jimmy asked me to work on two trade covers, and gotta say these turned out to be pretty neat covers. Not your standard trade fair… Once I get the OK from Jimmy, I’ll share them here.
